“And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him, if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard” (Colossians 1:21–23)

We stocked up on firewood this winter. $55 for 1/8th a chord of oak wood from the local wood yard.
We figured it would cost us $170 to buy the equivalent amount at the Albertsons grocery store. That’s quite a bit of savings. The wood is much harder to get lit because it’s really dense solid oak. However, once it get’s going, it lasts for quite a while.
Matthew loves the fire. He seems smart enough not to get too close, but we still never leave him alone in the living room when the fire is going.

Somehow we missed his pilot outfit sized for 3-6 months.
It’s a little tight on him and he’ll outgrow it sooner than we would like. He looks really cute in it. There are a few more new photos of him in the gallery.

Our Thanksgiving this year was complete with a concert performance.
We enjoyed a variety of songs from my cousins in 4-part harmony. They sometimes spend their spare time throughout the year getting together around the piano and singing. Most of the songs they sang were classic R&B tunes most people are familiar with.

Target bans Salvation Army bell ringers because they are labeled a “religious group” and Target doesn’t want to contribute to any religious group. On the other hand, Target does contribute to homosexuals. So although they may tote themselves as taking a neutral ground, really they are seeming to be biased against Christians and pro-homosexual, supporting liberal agendas. Many people think that Target is banning Salvation Army because Salvation Army doesn’t support homosexuals.
