October 31st came and went. Matthew was dressed as a hunter / soldier, and we went to our church, Church on the Hill for their Fall Family Blast. Church on the Hill did a knock out job creating an entertaining, fun, and safe environment for kids. There were bounce houses, mazes, professional magic shows, melodrama’s performed by our junior high students, carnival style games where kids could win candy or prizes, a petting zoo, and food booths with favorites such as Quiznos, Churros and Italian food. As usual, Matthew had fun. Don’t forget to click the “Read More” link below to read the rest of the article.

These days, a man might have a cell phone, wallet, digital camera, sun glasses, PDA, IPod. There are bags out there that can be used by men to conveniently carry all these items. You can call them ?man bags?, men?s carry all, travel bags, or something else.
Unfortunately, we live in a society that has very strict stereotypes of what a man is. A man may want to use one of these, but feel that he will get criticizm from other people. What do you think? I created a poll for you all to vote. You have to be registered and logged in to vote. So if you haven’t registered, please do so and then cast your vote at the Man Bag Poll

I’ve heard of people having tricks for making their cookies a special way. Alton Brown on the Food Network had some tricks for modifying the Toll House recipe to make thin crispy, thick, or chewy. I started a forum discussion that has the tricks he used. You can download the recipes in PDF format. Just go to the forum. Please post your tricks for everyone to see. Now is definitely the time of year to bake some special treats.
